Serb forces launched an artillery attack on a column of people crossing an asphalt road in the area between Konjević-Polje and Nova Kasaba. During the attack, several dozen men from the column were killed and several dozen others were wounded. Only about a third of the men successfully crossed the asphalt road, and the column was broken into several parts. (para. 62. Krstić, p. 22.), (paras. 380-381. Popović et al., vol. I, pp. 148–149.), (para. 315. Tolimir, p. 151.), (para. 5162. Karadžić, vol. IV, pp. 2138-2139.), (para. 2651. Mladić, vol. III, p. 1389.)
The largest groups of Bosniak men from the column were captured on July 13, 1995. Several thousand of them were gathered in a meadow near Sandići, or nearby, and on the football field in Nova Kasaba, as well as in Konjević Polje. (para. 64. Krstić, p. 23.), (para. 383. Popović et al., vol. I, p. 150.), (para. 5166. Karadžić, vol. IV, pp. 2140-2141.), (para. 2653., 2710. Mladić, vol. III, pp. 1389, 1427-1428.)
Between 1,000 and 1,500 men from the Srebrenica area who had been been detained in the Sandići meadow on July 13, 1995 were taken by bus or on foot to a warehouse in Kravica, approximately one kilometre from the meadow. When the warehouse was full, Serb forces began throwing hand grenades into the warehouse and shooting directly at the people crammed inside. Guards stationed around the building shot prisoners who tried to escape through the windows. The following day, members of the Serb forces called out the wounded, shouting that the Red Cross had arrived and that they would be taken to hospital, and after the wounded responded, they shot them. Among those killed were minors and the elderly. (paras. 205-207. Krstić, pp. 86-87.), (paras. 296-299. Blagojević and Jokić, pp. 109–111.), (paras. 435-437., 443. Popović et al., vol. I, pp. 175-176, 178.), (paras. 353-355., 360., 362-363., 376. Tolimir, pp. 170-171, 173-174, 179.), (paras. 5224-5227., 5230., 5232., 5234-5235., 5283. Karadžić, vol. IV, pp. 2170–2176, 2198.), (para. 2707. Mladić, volume III, pp. 1424–1425.)
Material evidence of the crime was also found in the warehouse in Kravica. This included traces of human blood, bones, and tissue on the walls, floor and ceiling. There was evidence of the damage caused by weapons, bombs, and explosives as well as shell casings, dentures, and fragments of human bones found mixed with the rubbish in front of the warehouse. Pieces of hand grenades were also found around the warehouse. (para. 437. Popović et al., vol. I, pp. 175–176.), (para. 5251. Karadžić, vol. IV, pp. 2182–2183.), (para. 208. Krstić, p. 87.), (para. 363. Tolimir, p. 174.)
The bodies of those killed in Kravica were buried in Glogova and Ravnice in a location that was assessed as a primary grave. The bodies from Glogova were then transferred to secondary graves in Zeleni Jadar, Blječeva, Budak, and Zalazje. The remains of about 1,000 victims found in these graves belong to those killed in the Kravica warehouse. (paras. 209-210. Krstić, p. 87., Krstić), (paras. 306., 314. Blagojević and Jokić, p. 113, 117.), (paras. 438., 442., 443. Popović et al., vol. I, pp. 176–178.), (paras. 367-374., 376. Tolimir, pp. 176–179.), (paras. 5252-5276., 5283. Karadžić, vol. IV, pp. 2183-2195, 2198.), (para. 2707. Mladić, vol. III, p. 1424.)

The agricultural cooperative in Kravica near Bratunac is one of the symbols of unmarked sites of suffering. It is here that Šuhra Sinanović has spent years facing bans on any dignified effort to mark the place where her husband and other family members were killed. For her, installing a memorial plaque is a way to ensure future generations learn a lesson from history that must never be repeated.
