The spa/hotel Vilina Vlas, a rehabilitation centre, was turned into a camp where women and girls were brought and systematically mistreated. Some verdicts state that it was a spa, some a hotel. (Željko Lelek, p. 19.)

Bakira Hasečić — “Vilina Vlas” hotel, Višegrad

Her name has become synonymous with the strength of a woman fighting for justice and truth. Bakira Hasečić, one of many victims of sexual violence in Višegrad, speaks about the mass and systematic rape of Bosniak women and girls, as well as the murder of women and men. These stories from places that still have no permanent memorial remain forever etched in her memory.
